Step One – The Sinful Thought

The first step of the cycle of sin is the sinful thought. This may seem like a minor thing, but it’s actually the beginning of a very dangerous process. If you don’t deal with the sinful thought immediately, it can grow into something much bigger. And before you know it, you’re in over your head!

The best way to deal with a sinful thought is to nip it in the bud (2 Corinthians 10:4 – 5). As soon as you have the thought, ask God to help you get rid of it. Don’t try to reason with it or rationalize it away. Just get rid of it and move on!

If you find that you’re having difficulty getting rid of the sinful thought, it may be helpful to talk to a friend or pastor about it. They can offer you support and accountability as you battle the thought.

Step Two – The Sinful Action
